I finally caved. After nearly a year of inwardly mocking anyone and everyone I saw wearing AirPods, I walked into an Apple Store and handed over $172 so I could have my own set.
And, even though I hated myself a little bit for it, I don’t regret it one bit.
First off, yes, they still look completely ridiculous. I won’t pretend they don’t. But I have long hair that almost always covers my ears, so most of the time they are far less visible than any other buds I own.

“We will appeal this decision on behalf of million of Londoners, but we do so with the knowledge that we must also change. As Uber’s new CEO, it is my job to help Uber write its next chapter.” Read more…

In particular, the giant corporations that gobble up any smaller companies that stand in their way, thereby gradually eating up the competition until customers have nowhere else to go.
The highlight? Oliver ranting twice about AT&T, despite the fact they may be merging with his own parent company TimeWarner.
“That’s right, fuck you AT&T!” he yells at one point. “Even if you do take over, you’ll NEVER BE MY REAL DAD!” Read more…
