5 things that really work to get your Google Adsense application approved in 2017

Believe it or not, Google Adsense approval process in 2017 has become very complex. Really low percentage of applications are actually approved by Google Adsense automated systems.

You may have seen this screen which doesn’t change for weeks and even months:

Google Adsense doesn’t give much information on why applications are rejected and also doesn’t offer support at all – everything is self-served. However, there are few main things that everyone has to consider before they actually submit their blog or a website for Adsense approval.

Getting rejected by Adsense is always very frustrating. After few rejections, many entrepreneurs start to get the idea in their minds that their blogs will never get approved by Adsense. If you are one of them, you are not alone and you are in the right place.

Google doesn’t reveal what are the exact minimum requirements to get your Adsense account approved. But what you could to is to follow some of the standard requirements and also my Google Adsense cheat sheet:

1. Buy top-level domain(TLD) name

Let’s start off with what is TLD?

Here’s what one of the largest domain selling companies – “Godaddy” says about TLD:

A top-level domain (TLD) is the part of the domain name located to the right of the dot (” . “). The most common TLDs are .com, .net, and .org. Some others are .biz, .info, and .ws. These common TLDs all have certain guidelines, but are generally available to any registrant, anywhere in the world.

There are also restricted top-level domains (rTLDs), like .aero, .biz, .edu, .mil, .museum, .name, and .pro, that require the registrant to represent a certain type of entity, or to belong to a certain community. For example, the .name TLD is reserved for individuals, and .edu is reserved for educational entities.

Country-code TLDs (ccTLDs) represent specific geographic locations. For example: .mx represents Mexico and .eu represents the European Union. Some ccTLDs have residency restrictions. For example, .eu requires registrants to live or be located in a country belonging to the European Union. Other ccTLDs, like the ccTLD .it representing Italy, allow anyone to register them, but require a trustee service if the registrant is not located in a specified country or region. Finally, there are ccTLDs that can be registered by anyone — .co representing Colombia, for example, has no residency requirements at all.

Now, what’s important to understand is that TLDs are trustworthy and Google tends to accept such domains over the new extensions like “.management, .guru, .company, .shop). I am not saying that Google won’t accept your application with a new extension, I am saying that a TLD has much higher chances of getting your application approved quickly.

2. Responsive Web Design & Important Pages/Sections

Google and the other major players like Yahoo, Bing, AOL, Baidu are all about the mobile friendly websites. If your website is responsive in both web and mobile versions, your chances of getting your Adsense application approved increase drastically!

VERY IMPORTANT:

Consider adding the following pages/sections which are visible on your website:

  • About us – It’s very important for Adsense that your website has “About us” section. This will also be very important for the users visiting your website to show them that you are actually a legitimate blog, business, marketplace, news site, or whatever your type of business model is.
  • Contact – Your contact section is important for several reasons. Here’s one:

If your blog is selling e-commerce items, users must feel secure to shop in your online store. The same applies for doing affiliate marketing type of posts. You need to make sure that your potential clients can trust you and your website.

  • Privacy Policy & ToS – These two sections have become a must for basically any type of business online. Google Adsense understands that very well and that’s why Adsense also requires both sections to be visible on your website in order to get approved for their Publisher’s platform.

3. Unique High Quality Content is the King!

Search engines and ad networks have the money and the resources to quickly crawl websites for unique content. Using auto posting software won’t help you at all! In fact, the very opposite. Your application may almost immediate get rejected due to the lack of unique content on your website. So take your time to write up some high quality articles or hire a professional writer/freelancer to do that for you.

HOT TIP: Since I have a lot of experience in getting approved all types of websites, my experience shows that new blogs or websites should have at least 80 to 100 high quality articles before they actually consider applying for the Google Adsense program.

4. Social Media & Backlinks

If you are just starting your blog, you should consider creating social media pages to get more genuine visits and backlinks to your website. There are so many websites and programs that offer social media automation and will allow you to save time on doing your social media posts manually. Here are just a few suggestions:

  • SocialPilot – I personally use this website. It’s great because it allows you to connect up to 200 social media profiles/pages and to add up to 20 website feeds(crawling posts and auto posting them on your social media channels).
  • Webhits.io – Great platform which is currently in beta version and allows users to request early access. It’s probably the best one you can ever come across and it’s perfect for pushing your Alexa.com website rank and also your social media exposure and followers numbers. Request access here.
  • IFTT – Awesome free service that aggregates all of your web apps into one place and then performs actions given a certain set of criteria that you assign. Really cool saving time tool!
  • Use free website ping services. That’s a really great and easy way to get your website quickly indexed in various search engines including Google. Here are few of the top free ping services:
  1. IMTalk Submitter – This service will create up to 1,800 free “pings” or backlinks to your website. Most of the freelancers who offer SEO services charge their clients and offer these 1800 links with specific keyword or keywords of their clients choice.
  2. MassPings – The site allows you to create free backlinks for up to 5 urls.
  3. GooglePing – This site will submit your url to all major search engines, their extensions, feed crawlers, and other automated crawler sites.

5. Submitting sitemap(s) and using other media networks ads

Before you submit your Google Adsense application, it is very important to connect your website with Google and Bing Webmaster Tools. The process for both is very straight forward and easy to do, so I won’t be explaining more about it in this article. Connecting your website with Webmaster Tools is important because it allows search engines to index(include your website urls) your website content and pages – therefore “they”(Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc.) will know about your website existence.

Very effective tip: Use the Google Webmaster Tools Data Highlighter. It will also help your site to get indexed faster. Google uses it to create an intuitive understanding on how your website and pages work. I always use it when setting up a new website.

If you really want to get your website approved by Adsense, I would suggest that you remove all current ads that you might have placed from other Media Ad Networks. This is important especially during the “Google Adsense reviewing code process”. Even though Google will never say it, they want to dominate and they do dominate over all internet Media Ad Networks. So, placing other networks ads is a minus during the application process.

Conclusion

Google requirements and algorithms change daily, but I guarantee you that if you follow all of the above 6 tips, your percentage of quickly approved Google Adsense websites will skyrock. So, don’t give up! Working hard and working smart eventually pays off!
