U.S. Jury Charge Pastor and Programer Over Illegal Bitcoin Exchange

On Friday, jurors in Manhattan federal court have prepared to weight in charges against a Florida software engineer and a New Hersey pastor, who have been accused of scheming to help an illegal bitcoin exchange to escape scrutiny. The unlicensed bitcoin exchange, was linked to an investigation of data breach at JPMorgan Chase, that exposed more than 83 million accounts. Prosecutors claim that Yuri Lebedev helped arrange bribes to pastor Trevon Gross, including $150,000 in donations to his church. Prosecutors say that neither were accused of hacking, but found that the illegal bitcoin exchange was owned by an Israeli behind the breach.
