US passenger train was traveling more than twice the speed limit when it came off the tracks

The Amtrak passenger train that derailed Monday in Washington state was traveling 80 mph in a 30 mph zone, according to National Transportation Safety Board spokeswoman T. Bella Dinh-Zarr.
